A coalition of U.S. human rights organisations, in collaboration with the Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK), will hold a full day of events on 10 December 2025 to mark International Human Rights Day with a sharp focus on accountability for Israel’s genocide in Gaza and the role of U.S. military and political support.
- Opening Lecture: Historical and Political Context
The day opens with a lecture by Dr. Fouad Moughrabi, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The session provides a historical and political overview of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, tracing the roots of the occupation and the structural factors that have produced today’s humanitarian emergency in Gaza.
- Youth Session: Emerging Voices in Nonviolent Action
A youth-centered session will highlight the work of young organizers and artists shaping new models of peaceful resistance.

The session explores how youth-led initiatives are expanding solidarity networks and transforming community engagement.
- Film Segment and BDS Educational Event
Participants will view a segment from the documentary “No Other Land”, followed by the launch of a community home-screening initiative designed to broaden public understanding of the crisis in Gaza.
An accompanying educational event on the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement includes three short videos and a guided discussion on how economic and civic pressure can challenge ongoing violations.
- Justice & Accountability Forum: Examining Impunity and U.S. Involvement
The central forum of the day brings together former U.S. officials, medical professionals, faith leaders, activists, and human rights advocates to examine the entrenched system of impunity surrounding Israeli actions and the impact of U.S. support.

- Closing Session: From Awareness to Action
The events conclude with a participatory session inviting attendees to reflect on the day’s discussions and identify concrete ways to transform awareness into meaningful action. The Justice & Accountability Forum will be livestreamed to ensure broad public access.
