University College London (UCL) will host a public talk titled “As Bad As It Gets for the Palestinian People: Aggression, Genocide, Apartheid, Denial of Self-Determination, and Other Violations Resulting from the Existence and Actions of Israel.”
The event will feature Professor Ralph Wilde, Professor of International Law at UCL Faculty of Laws, and will be chaired by Professor Izzat Darwazeh, also from UCL.
The discussion will examine the ongoing aggression, genocide, apartheid, denial of self-determination, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and torture committed against the Palestinian people, within the framework of international law and global accountability mechanisms.

Professor Ralph Wilde is one of the leading scholars of international law. He has served on the executive bodies of the American and European Societies of International Law and the International Law Association, and has held academic posts at Al Quds University in Palestine, Georgetown–Qatar, Harvard, NYU, and Yale, as well as serving as Peace Fellow at the Åland Islands Peace Institute.
His award-winning Oxford University Press book on international territorial administration earned the American Society of International Law book prize. He has written extensively on Palestine and international law and served as a legal advisor to the PLO and several Palestinian human rights organizations. Professor Wilde has also acted as counsel before the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice in multiple Palestine-related cases.
