13 Palestinians were killed, including five children, and many others were injured during an Israeli military attack on Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem, which started at dawn Thursday.
Over the past 27 hours, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a violent raid campaign on Nur Shams camp, causing heavy destruction to property and clashing with local youths and resistance fighters.
During the events, the IOF launched a suicide drone attack on a group of youths in al-Manshiya neighborhood in the camp, killing and wounding a number of them and bystanders.
Five children were shot dead when Israeli soldiers opened fire indiscriminately at homes and citizens during the military raid.
Five bodies of the victims were kept in a local mosque after medics failed to reach the camp due to the Israeli tight siege on the area.
IOF bulldozers also caused widespread destruction to homes, vehicles, and roads and wreaked havoc on the camp’s infrastructure, including water pipelines, power lines, and phone and internet lines.
The Nur Shams Camp Raid came while Israeli warplanes continued to bomb the Gaza Strip for the 13th consecutive day, claiming the lives of thousands of people, many of whom are children and women.
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian and human rights law as it exposes civilians’ lives to extreme danger, which requires an immediate international intervention.
