On Friday, May 27, 2022, a Palestinian boy was shot and killed by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in al-Khader village south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem.
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that Zaid Ghuneim, 15, succumbed to his serious injuries sustained during the IOF military raid into al-Khader village.
Ghuneim was fatally wounded by three bullets in the neck and the back, and succumbed to his wounds shortly after he was transferred to hospital in Bethlehem, the Ministry added.
Occupation forces have significantly escalated the killing and repression of Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem during the past several days, following a green light from the political officials in Israel.
The Occupation Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has issued a written order to grant “all security forces full freedom” to advance assaults on Palestinians.
In December 2021, the Israeli occupation army has allowed its soldiers to shoot at Palestinians throwing stones and Molotov cocktails.
The decision is not the first of its kind. It came as part of the Israeli systematic execution policy throughout the past decades where thousands of Palestinian stone-throwers were shot killed by Israeli fire.
