On Monday, September 5, 2022, a Palestinian young man was pronounced dead after being shot by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) south of Jenin. Another Palestinian was also injured during the raid.
The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the martyr as Taher Zakarneh, 19, saying that he was shot and seriously injured in his head during an IOF raid into Qabatiya town.
Earlier today, the Palestinian Red Crescent said a young man was transferred to hospital while suffering serious head injuries, where he was proclaimed dead.
During the raid, Israeli special units arrested the young man Eid Manasra and opened fire at Taher Zakarneh, where he was shot and seriously injured in his head and other upper parts of his body. Mahmoud Riad Zakarneh was also shot in his left foot.
Over the past four months, 1,200 Palestinians were detained during similar raids mainly in Jenin and Nablus.
