2.2 million people in the Gaza Strip are still in dire need of aid after 11 months of the genocide war waged against them by Israeli occupation forces.
The World Food Program (WFP) said that 2.2 million people in Gaza are still in dire need of aid after 11 months of war, stressing that Israeli evacuation orders are hampering its efforts to provide aid to the people of the Strip.
The program added in a post on X, “11 months of war in Gaza, and 2.2 million people are still in dire need of food and livelihood assistance.”
It stressed that “despite the World Food Program’s commitment to providing aid, evacuation orders are hampering efforts at a time when needs are increasing.”
The United Nations WFP called for the need for a ceasefire in the Strip.
On August 27, Israeli forces shelled a vehicle belonging to the WFP, which prompted the WFP to suspend its activities in Gaza “until further notice.”
The Israeli forces are continuously forcing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to move from one place to another under repeated evacuation orders.
The displaced people fleeing the attacks of the Israeli occupation live in desperate conditions in refugee centers.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have continued to carry out a war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, which has led to a catastrophic deterioration of the humanitarian and health conditions, due to the continuous bombing and the tight siege that blocked the entry of basic supplies of food, water, and medicine.
