The Israeli occupation continues its war of genocide against the Gaza Strip for the 89th day in a row, claiming the lives of thousands of Palestinians so far.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said that the toll of Israeli aggression on Gaza had risen to 22,313 victims and 57,296 wounded since October 7.
According to the health authorities, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have carried out 15 massacres over the past 24 hours against entire families in Gaza, claiming the lives of 207 people and injuring 338 others.
The health ministry further noted that 326 health personnel were killed during the attacks, while 104 ambulances were destroyed.
The Israeli warplanes deliberately targeted 150 health institutions and put 30 hospitals and 53 primary care centres out of service, the ministry said.
The health ministry pointed out that Israel is still detaining 99 health personnel from the Gaza Strip, including the directors of hospitals in northern Gaza, Dr. Muhammad Abu Salmiya, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahlot, and Dr. Ahmed Muhanna, in inhumane conditions and subject them to severe torture and abuse.
The Palestinian Health Ministry called on all institutions to “work immediately to provide medicine and fuel supplies needed to operate the Al-Shifa Medical Complex and all hospitals in northern areas where 800,000 people are still living there.
The ministry also warned of a real humanitarian and health catastrophe for more than 1.9 million displaced people in shelter centres.
“50,000 pregnant women suffer from malnutrition and health complications in shelter centres, especially those with high-risk pregnancies, as a result of the lack of drinking water, hygiene, food, and health care,” the ministry said, pointing out that “more than 900,000 children in shelter centres are exposed to the dangers of extreme cold and dehydration, malnutrition, respiratory, and skin diseases.”
The Ministry pointed out that “children and women are exposed to multiple psychological disorders as a result of severe bombing, home destruction, body parts, and the loss of their families and homes.”
The health ministry in Gaza issued a call to action for international organisations to act quickly to save the lives of children, expectant mothers, and chronic patients as well as to avert a medical, humanitarian, and psychological disaster in shelter centres.
It stated that “medical aid is limited, restricted, and incompatible with the needs of hospitals” and urged all concerned parties to “find effective mechanisms that guarantee the flow of medical aid in accordance with the needs of the Ministry of Health declared and sent to all parties, in order to save thousands of sick and wounded people.”
It explained that “only less than 1% of the wounded have been able to leave so far, indicating that the current mechanism for transporting the sick and wounded does not respond to the large and increasing numbers, contributes to the killing of more wounded every day.”
It continued: “We urgently need to transfer more than 5,500 wounded and sick people with serious and complex conditions, as an urgent priority for treatment abroad in order to save their lives.”
The Ministry called on international institutions, led by the International Committee of the Red Cross, to visit and inspect the detainees, especially the detained medical personnel, and to mobilize for their release in accordance with international humanitarian law and the Fourth Geneva Convention.
Meanwhile, the Government Media Office (GMO) said in a press conference that the Israeli occupation army carried out 1,838 massacres during its ongoing genocide war on the Gaza Strip.
21,978 dead bodies arrived at the hospitals; including 9,280 children and 6,600 women, it added, saying that 55,243 people were injured.
326 medical personnel, 40 civil defence members, and 106 journalists were also among the reported victims, the GMO revealed.
The GMO also pointed out that 7,000 people are still missing, 70 percent of whom were children and women.
To date, the occupation has arrested 99 health personnel and 10 journalists.
More than 1.9 million people were displaced, while 355,000 people were infected with infectious diseases, it added.
According to the GMO; 130 government headquarters were destroyed, 93 schools and universities were completely destroyed, 292 schools and universities were partially destroyed, 120 mosques were completely destroyed and 212 mosques were partially destroyed, and 3 churches were targeted.
The Israeli occupation also completely destroyed 65,000 housing units, partially damaged 290,000 units, destroyed 200 archaeological and heritage sites, and dropped 65,000 tons of explosives on Gaza.

Since Oct. 7, the Israeli occupation army has launched a bloody aggression on the Gaza Strip, causing a severe humanitarian and health catastrophe.
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian and human rights law as it exposes civilians’ lives to extreme danger, which requires an immediate international intervention.
The international community must force the Israeli occupation forces to abide by international human rights and humanitarian laws, mainly protecting the rights and lives of civilians, prohibiting their targeting and preserving their safety, and holding the Israeli leaders accountable for committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
