Israeli occupation forces and illegal settlers’ abuse of Palestinians continue across the occupied West Bank.
Over the last 24 hours, in the town of Sa’ir in the Hebron Governorate, occupation forces arrested five Palestinian citizens, including three members of the same family.
In the Nablus Governorate, five Palestinians were arrested.
In Ramallah, occupation forces arrested former prisoner Mahdi Youssef al-Barghouti, and three others, including two minors.
In the Jenin Governorate, 4 were arrested. In the Bethlehem Governorate, 2 Palestinians were arrested.
A number of citizens were arrested in the Tulkarm and Jericho governorates, including one minor.
And in the Salfit Governorate, in lands surrounding the villages of Yasuf and al-Sawiya, east of Salfit city, illegal settlers cut down scores of mature olive trees.
The deputy mayor of the Yasuf, Wael Abu Madi, said that residents of the illegal Rahalim and Taffouh settlements cut down 170 mature olive trees, aged between 50 and 80 years.
Palestinian citizens and their property are under constant attack by illegal settlers, Abu Madi is reported as saying.
Settlers’ intention is to force Palestinians to leave the land, Abu Madi added.
