The Israeli warplanes continued to bomb residential neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip for the tenth consecutive day, wiping out nearly 50 families.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced early Monday that 2,750 Palestinians were killed, while 9,700 people were further injured.
60 percent of the victims are women and children, the ministry added.
According to the health ministry, 58 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since October 7, while 1,250 were injured.
The health ministry confirmed that the number of people killed in the past 8 days exceeded the death toll of the 2014 war, saying that Israel is committing ethnic cleansing.
70% of the people of Gaza City and northern Gaza Strip are deprived of health services after UNRWA evacuated its offices and stopped its services, the ministry said.
The ministry also pointed out that “ambulance crews are facing great difficulty in evacuating victims as a result of the massive destruction that occurred in residential neighborhoods and the roads leading to hospitals.”
The Ministry further stated that “Gaza Strip hospitals are struggling to survive in the face of the growing massacres committed by the Israeli occupation,” pointing out that “hospitals are in dire need of every health staff, every bed, every medicine pill, every operating room, and every health service at this critical time.”
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian and human rights law as it exposes civilians’ lives to extreme danger, which requires an immediate international intervention.
