The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed the Balata refugee camp east of Nablus at dawn on Monday, killing three young Palestinian men and injuring six others.
The Palestinian health ministry identified the three, killed on Monday morning, as Muhammad Abu Zaytoun, 32, Fathi Abu Rizk, 30, and Abdullah Abu Hamdan, 24.
Local sources affirmed that the IOF broke into the area amid heavy gunfire, killing three people and injuring at least six others, one of whom is in critical condition.
Israeli snipers were stationed over the tops of some homes, and ambulances were prevented from entering the camp.
Dozens of local homes were stormed and violently searched during the raid, while several members of the Owais family were detained.
The IOF also blew up a local house belonging to the Abu Shallal family, without notifying the neighboring houses. As a result, a young man and a girl were injured, and severe material damage was caused to a number of neighboring houses.
Since the start of the year, 156 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli forces’ and settlers’ attacks, including 26 children.
These serious human rights violations require urgent international intervention to hold those responsible to justice and provide protection to civilians during conflicts.
