For the twelfth day in a row, Israeli warplanes have been bombing different parts of the Gaza Strip, causing dozens of casualties.
Early on Monday, the Gaza Ministry of Health declared that 3,478 Palestinians had been killed in addition to 12,065 Palestinians who had been injured.
According to the ministry, women and children make up 70% of the victims, and hundreds more are still hidden beneath the rubble.
The Ministry stated that “targeting hospitals and committing an unspeakable massacre inside the Baptist Hospital campus is a serious threat to the health system” and that the ongoing massacres carried out by the Israeli occupation “constitute ethnic cleansing and a threat to the Palestinian existence.”
Over 471 people have died as a result of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital massacre, and 314 more have been injured, with 28 of them critically injured.
433 Palestinian families were wiped out, according to the ministry, and only 2,421 of their bodies made it to hospitals, while hundreds more are still hidden beneath debris.
Approximately 1,300 people, including 600 children, were reported missing under rubble.
Though it is likely that there are still missing persons alive beneath the debris, getting to them will be extremely challenging given the ongoing targeting and limited resources.”
Providing adequate medical care to the ill and injured is extremely challenging after hospitals reach the point of actual collapse, the ministry concluded.
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian and human rights law as it exposes civilians’ lives to extreme danger, which requires an immediate international intervention.
