Israeli settlers escalated their attacks against Palestinians in several areas of the West Bank, by burning citizens’ cars and closing several roads.
Since yesterday, 36 Palestinians have been injured by settlers’ bullets and stones, 140 Palestinian cars were burnt, and 23 houses have been attacked.
Settler attacks were carried out in 10 Palestinian villages and towns whose residents were terrorized by thousands of settlers, who organised to attack villages in the West Bank.
A Red Crescent ambulance was also burnt in Hawara, and crops were burned in Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya.
Today, settlers burned at least 10 cars and attacked shops and houses.
Today, armed settlers from Bani Hefer severely beat Ibrahim Mousa Azima,41, in Hebron, and stole his wallet, identity card and money.
In 2022, the occupation and its settlers destroyed and uprooted 13,130 olive trees. They also carried out 793 attacks against Palestinians and their homes, 582 of which were damaged, and 211 citizens were injured. Furthermore, a settler stabbed a Palestinian with a knife in the chest, killing him while he was defending his land in Salfit, in June 2022.
There are about 666,000 settlers, 145 large settlements, and 140 random outposts (unlicensed by the Israeli government) in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
The UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly resolution emphasised that the Israeli settlements established on the occupied Palestinian lands are “illegal, and constitute a war crime.”
