The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that 39 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) large-scale operation in the West Bank at dawn on August 28. Eight children were among the victims.
The Ministry 145 Palestinians were further injured during the aggression.
Since October 7, 691 Palestinians were killed in the West Bank, while about 5,700 were wounded.
According to the ministry, the victims included 19 in Jenin Governorate, 10 in Tubas Governorate, 7 in Tulkarem, and 3 in al-Khalil.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health indicated that among the victims were 8 children and two elderly people.
At dawn on August 28, the IOF began a large-scale aggression in the northern West Bank, mainly in Jenin and its camp, Tulkarem and its two camps, and Tubas and the Far’a camp.
The next day, the IOF troops ended its operation in the Tulkarem and Tubas governorates, but resumed attacks the attacks in Tulkarem and its two camps on Monday.
Palestinian sources reported at dawn on Thursday that the Israeli forces withdrew from Tulkarem and its camp, leaving behind great destruction.
Also at dawn today, the IOF withdrew from the Far’a refugee camp hours after re-storming it.
The IOF had previously withdrawn from the Far’a camp at dawn last Thursday, after a military operation that lasted about 30 hours in which 4 Palestinians were killed.
As for Jenin; the IOF aggression continued for the ninth day, turning it into a disaster-stricken city.
In parallel with its war on the Gaza Strip, the IOF expanded its military operations and attacks in the West Bank, resulting in the arrest of more than 10,400, in addition to dozens of dead and wounded.
The Israeli genocide war on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, as it exposes the lives and property of civilians to grave danger.
