The Israeli occupation continues its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. Since dawn today and up to the time of publishing this report, it has targeted inhabited homes and gatherings of civilians waiting for aid, killing 48 Palestinians, including children and women, and injuring dozens more.
The strikes were concentrated on Gaza City, where 11 members of the Al-Sharafa family, including children and women, were killed in Al-Tuffah neighbourhood, while six others were killed in Al-Shati refugee camp after a house belonging to the Bakr family was bombed.
Air raids also struck the neighbourhoods of Al-Rimal, Tel Al-Hawa and Al-Shuja’iyya, accompanied by the use of explosive drones detonated among civilians’ homes, leading to further casualties.
Local sources reported seven more deaths in separate attacks on various neighbourhoods of the city, in addition to continuous aerial and artillery bombardment throughout the night on eastern and northern areas of Gaza.
Central Gaza witnessed a bloody escalation that left 21 people dead. In Nuseirat, Israeli forces bombed the home of the Al-Jammal family, killing nine of its members, including the father, mother and their children, and targeted a civilian gathering in the same area, killing four more, among them two children. In Al-Zawaida, three others were killed after the Abu Ruqab family home was struck.
Near the Netzarim corridor, occupation soldiers opened fire on Palestinians who had gathered to receive food aid, killing three on the spot. Aid distribution centres run by the occupation and the Americans have become death traps, turning into sites for targeting the hungry rather than saving them.
The escalation also reached Khan Younis and Rafah. One Palestinian was killed in a house bombing in the Jouret Al-Aqqad area, while others were wounded by occupation gunfire as they waited for aid in the Al-Shakoush area of Rafah.
Residents of the south confirm that these attacks aim to strip civilians of any sense of safety, even in the areas to which they had previously fled to escape bombardment.
Since 7 October 2023, the occupation has been waging an unprecedented military campaign on the Gaza Strip with direct US support, killing more than 65,000 Palestinians and injuring about 167,000, the majority of them women and children. The policy of siege and starvation has also led to the deaths of hundreds more, including dozens of children.
These figures reveal that what is happening is no longer merely a war or confrontation but a deliberate genocide targeting the very existence of Palestinians in Gaza, in blatant violation of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention of the Crime of Genocide.
The facts on the ground indicate that the occupation is not content with killing civilians in their homes but deliberately targets gatherings of the hungry and displaced, making the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip another face of a policy of mass cleansing being carried out in full view of the world.
