A Palestinian young man has succumbed to Israeli occupation forces (IOF) gunshot wounds he sustained before his arrest in a Jericho raid on Wednesday evening.
The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the victim as Mahmoud Jamal Hassan Hamdan, 22, who was shot and seriously injured after IOF stormed the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp in Jericho.
Earlier Wednesday, three Palestinians were shot and injured during an Israeli military raid into the Aqabat Jaber camp, south of Jericho.
The Red Crescent said that its crews provided medical assistance for three wounded citizens, one with a critical injury in his abdomen, during the IOF raid in the camp.
The IOF has been besieging Jericho City and Aqabat Jaber camp for the third consecutive day, totally restricting locals’ movement.
The new victim brought the total number of Palestinians killed in IOF and settler attacks since the start of the year to 67, including 13 children and four elderly people.
