At dawn on Sunday, October 3, 2021, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested 12 Palestinian citizens during a massive raid campaign in the occupied West Bank.
In the city of Nablus, the IOF arrested Khalil Abu Awad, Ibrahim Abu Awad, Alaa Abu Awad, and Sami al-Wazir.
In the city of Jenin, the IOF arrested a boy, Thaer Turkman.
In Ramallah and Al-Bireh; the IOF arrested seven Palestinians; Tawfiq Ahmed Omar, Ali Hani Abul-Khair, Amid Al-Nahed, Omar Mohamed Al-Barghouti, Mohamed Nasser Al-Khawaja, Mohamed Mustafa Issa, and the boy Asif Al-Rifai.
Israel holds about 4,850 prisoners, including 41 female prisoners, 225 children, and 550 administrative detainees, according to institutions specialized in Palestinian prisoner affairs.
On the same day, the IOF assaulted a number of Palestinians in Wadi Al-Rababa neighborhood of Silwan town in the occupied city of Jerusalem and injured Ahmed Adam Awad.
Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) has repeatedly called on the international community to take serious action to stop the Israeli violations against the Palestinians, as these authorities do not seem to reverse their policies or abide by their obligations under international law.
AOHR UK stressed that the delay in achieving justice for the Palestinians, with the continued lack of seriousness of the steps taken against “Israel” to deter it has encouraged it to commit more violations against the innocent Palestinian people.
