On Sunday morning October 10, 2021, the Israeli Occupation Police (IOF) stormed the home of Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, 82, east of Jerusalem, and summoned him to Al-Maskobiya Detention Center for investigation later on the day by the Israeli General Security Service (Shin Bet).
Sheikh Sabri said in media statements while heading to the investigation that he expected the summons to be about his rejection of the Israeli court’s decision last Wednesday, allowing Jews to pray silently in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Sabri had been arrested several times in the past by the Israeli authorities and prevented him from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque for several months as well.
Meanwhile, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, and performed silent Talmudic prayers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police.
The settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in groups in an attempt to make it a fact to pray continuously inside the mosque’s courtyards.
Settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque, almost daily, in two shifts in the morning and following the afternoon prayer, through the “Mughrabi Gate” in the western wall of the mosque, while being escorted by the Israeli occupation police.
