Al-Kafrawi’s health situation has deeply deteriorated after he lost half his body weight and became unable to move.

Al-Kafrawi was arrested on September 20, 2019, and held since then in pre-trial detention. His detention has been renewed multiple times.
Arrested in March 2020, the political prisoner Mohamed El-Sayed Abdel-Fattah was also diagnosed with leukaemia. However, he didn’t receive adequate medical treatment.
Abdel-Fattah’s detention has been renewed more than once despite his critical health situation.
