On Monday, March 7, 2022, a Palestinian child was killed during an Israeli police raid into the Jerusalem town of Abu Dis.
The Palestinian health ministry announced that 16-year-old Yamen Jafal died after being shot by police forces in Abu Dis.
The boy was shot after police forces stormed the town amid heavy fire of live bullets and clashed with local youths.
Israeli police later arrested Yamen despite being bleeding and prevented an ambulance from reaching him.
After a long wait, the ambulance managed to evacuate the teenager to a hospital in the holy city, where he was pronounced dead.
In recent years, the Israeli occupation has increased its shooting towards Palestinians, despite posing no danger.
Last January, Israel issued new orders allowing soldiers to shoot at Palestinian “stone-throwers”.
