On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, a Palestinian young man was killed and many others were wounded during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Silwad town, north of Ramallah.
The Palestinian health ministry declared that 20-year-old Omar Alyan died of a bullet injury in his chest and 6 others suffered live-shot injuries during a violent IOF raid on Silwad town.
Later, the IOF fired an artillery shell at a local house. Fortunately, no one was injured in the attack.
Local sources reported that an IOF vehicle ran over a young man in Silwad and injured him, adding that several soldiers gathered around a new house in the village as a prelude to storming it.
Earlier Wednesday, a 14-year-old Palestinian boy was shot and killed by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during violent clashes that erupted near the West Bank town of Husan to the south of Bethlehem.
Also on Wednesday, a 34-year-old Palestinian lawyer was killed by IOF gunfire in Nablus.
Since the start of the year, 42 Palestinians have been killed by the IOF, 14 of them in April.
Tension has been raising high in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem after Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett decided to grant “all security forces full freedom” to advance assaults on Palestinians.
