17 Palestinians were injured today during the Israeli police’s attack on worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
About 500 Israeli police forces stormed the mosque’s courtyards since the early morning. The occupation forces used batons and tear gas against women, elderly worshipers and everyone in the courtyards to force them to leave the place in preparation for the settlers’ storming of it. They severely beat worshippers near Bab Hatta, and arrested others and moved them outside the mosque’s courtyards.
The occupation police imposed a siege on the Al-Qibli Mosque and the Dome of the Rock area, and evacuated the areas, to allow settlers strom the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, including Jewish rabbis.
At Dawn, all those under the age of 40 were prevented by the occupation forces from entering the courtyards of the mosque.
The so-called Temple organisations continue to mobilise their supporters to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque on the “Easter feast”, and to perform rituals there, as well as attempting to bring the “Easter sacrifice” to the mosque courtyards.
The Hebrew “Passover” comes during the third week of Ramadan this year, between April 16-22.
