The Israeli three-day assault on the Gaza Strip has killed 46 Palestinians, including 16 children and four women, and injured 360 more.
On Monday, the Palestinian traffic policeman Mahmoud Daoud died of injuries he sustained during the Israeli aggression, bringing the total death toll to 45.
The policeman was injured after an Israeli air raid targeted the Samer junction in the Gaza City. Two other civilians were killed during the attack.
Later, a Palestinian child was proclaimed dead after she was critically wounded in an Israeli raid, bringing the number of Palestinian civilians killed during the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza to 46.
10-year-old Haneen Abu Qaida succumbed to her wounds after she was severely injured in an Israeli airstrike on northern Gaza two days ago.
Earlier on Sunday, Naama Abu Qaida, Haneen’s grandmother was killed, and seven others including Haneen were wounded after the Israeli warplanes targeted Naama’s son’s wedding car.
Earlier Sunday evening, a ceasefire has come into effect in the besieged enclave at 23:30 local time (20:30 GMT), after talks moderated by Egyptian mediators.
Gaza Civil Defense affirmed that more than 1675 housing units were damaged during the three-day aggression, of which 89 were completely destroyed.
“The Israeli occupation destroyed several buildings over the heads of the residents in the Al-Shout neighborhood in Rafah, on Saturday evening, violating all international humanitarian laws and conventions,” the Civil Defense said.
Since Friday, Israel has carried out heavy aerial and artillery bombardment of the besieged Gaza, targeted heavy crowded residential neighborhoods without prior notice.
