The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a large-scale raid and arrest campaign across the West Bank on Friday morning. 31 Palestinians were rounded up during the raids.
The arrests were mainly reported in Hebron (south), Ramallah (centre), Jenin and Nablus (north).
23 university students were also detained while camping in the Zarqa area, located between Beit Rima and Aboud towns, northwest of Ramallah.
In Hebron, the IOF arrested Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Hathlin and his two sons, Qassem and Abdel-Rahman, after breaking into Masafer Yatta villages, south of the city.
The Palestinian Ali Muhammad Deeb Shawahna and his son Anas were detained in Al-Silat Al-Harithiya town, west of Jenin.
The occupation forces also stormed Jaba’ town, south of Jenin, and arrested Walid Malaysia in an attempt to force his son to surrender himself.
In Nablus, the Israeli occupation forces arrested the young man, Mohsen Dweikat, in Beita town, and the ex-prisoner, Khaled Daraghmeh, in Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya south of the city.
The Israeli occupation forces regularly conducts raids, search and arrest operations in Palestinian towns across the occupied West Bank, which have intensified this year with Palestinians arrested on a near-daily basis.
As of August 2022, 4,500 Palestinians are held in occupation jails, including 32 women, 180 children, and 743 administrative detainees.
