On Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, six Palestinians have been killed and 20 wounded after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed Nablus and Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
Five youths were killed when large numbers of Israeli forces infiltrated into Nablus while a sixth Palestinian was killed by the IOF in Ramallah.
“There are five dead and 20 wounded, four of them seriously, by Israeli gunfire in Nablus”, the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a brief statement.
The victims were identified as: Wadih Al-Houh, Hamdi Sharaf, Ali Antar, Hamdi Qayyim, and Mishaal Baghdadi.
A sixth person was shot dead by Israeli soldiers in Nabi Saleh, north of the city of Ramallah, the ministry said.
Local sources reported that IOF soldiers stormed several neighborhoods in Nablus, where the sounds of shooting and explosions were heard and columns of smoke and flames were seen emanating from several neighborhoods.
The IOF then sent reinforcements backed by drones, the sources added.
The killings are the latest in a string of systematic military raids carried out in almost daily basis by the Israeli occupation throughout the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem under the pretext of looking for ‘wanted’ Palestinians.
Since the start of the year, more than 180 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza Strip and the West Bank. 41 children were among the reported victims.
Media sources earlier revealed that the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli gunfire had reached an unprecedented toll in seven years.
