The Palestinian prisoner, Yasmine Shaaban, 40, has been on hunger strike for the fourth consecutive day in protest of her imprisonment in a solitary confinement amid very difficult detention conditions.
Shaaban, a mother of four children, was arrested on March 1, 2022. She was earlier detained and spent five years in Israeli prisons before being released in 2019.
Over the past week, Palestinian female prisoners held in Damon prison were subjected to a fierce attack after Israeli special forces violently stormed their rooms and conducted provocative inspections.
Several female prisoners were beaten during the raid, while others were transferred to solitary confinement, sparking a state of tension among the prisoners.
31 Palestinian female prisoners are currently held in Israeli jails, including minors and mothers.
