The Israeli occupation army carried out airstrikes late Saturday night on a residential neighbourhood in the Syrian capital Damascus, killing 15 people, including two women, and leaving dozens of others injured.
The airstrike targeted the Kafar Sousah residential neighbourhood in the Syrian capital. It said several of those wounded were in critical condition, which includes a government’s cabinet building and an Iranian school.
The airstrikes also caused heavy damage to several residential buildings in Kafar Sousah.
Images and video footage from the Damascus neighbourhood showed heavy damage to buildings.
SANA said that Syrian air defences managed to intercept most of the missiles fired by Israeli warplanes.
The occupation state has carried out hundreds of strikes on alleged military targets inside government-controlled parts of Syria in recent years, but rarely acknowledges its attacks.
According to Israeli claims, the airstrikes often target sites and people belonging to Iran. However, it often leaves civilian victims.
