The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of Yazan Omar Khasib, 23, who was killed with bullets of the IOF near the northern entrance of Al-Bireh, central West Bank.
The IOF kept for a few hours and prevented the Red Crescent ambulances from transporting him. The IOF completely closed the northern entrance to Al-Bireh in both directions for an hour.
Khasib is from the town of Qaffin, north of Tulkarm, and his family lives in Ramallah.
With the death of Khasib, the death toll of Palestinians killed by the IOF and its settlers since the beginning of this year has risen to 89, including 17 children and one woman.
It is noteworthy that international humanitarian law prohibits targeting civilians and subjecting them to attack, whether a group or individuals. It also stresses on respect for their lives, their physical and mental integrity, and that they should be protected and well treated.
