A Palestinian man was killed in an incident of violence involving an Israeli settler near the village of Sandala in the 1948-occupied territories. According to eyewitnesses, the victim, identified as Dayar Omari, was shot in cold blood by the Israeli settler.
Video footage circulating online shows the Israeli and Palestinian men involved in a fight before Omari returned to his car. The Israeli then pulled out his pistol and fired several shots into the car, killing Omari instantly.
The killing has provoked condemnation from several Palestinian officials and organizations, with many denouncing the incident as yet another example of Israeli aggression towards Palestinians in the occupied territories.
These gross human rights violations require serious action to be taken by the international community to end them and ensure the safety of the Palestinians in order to achieve peace and stability in the region.
