For the 33rd day in a row, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued to bomb the homes of Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip, claiming the lives of thousands of them.
Last night and on Wednesday morning, the Israeli warplanes launched a series of violent raids on the Gaza Strip, targeting several homes in Gaza City and its north governorates, leaving dozens of dead and wounded people, most of them children and women.
The Israeli warplanes bombed a house belonging to the Zahir family east of Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip, killing 9 citizens and wounding others.
17 other Palestinians were killed following the bombing of the homes of the Al-Sharbasi, Al-Sousi, Marish, and Al-Ghamri families in the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City. Other people are still missing under the rubble.
The Israeli warplanes also bombed a house for the Al-Salout family in the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis, leaving many injured and killed persons.
A large number of casualties were reported in an Israeli artillery shelling of a UN school sheltering hundreds of displaced people near the Ansar roundabout, west of Gaza City.
Israeli warplanes bombed the homes of the Sammour and Hassouna families in the Shati Camp, west of Gaza City, resulting in a large number of casualties.
The Israeli airstrikes also targeted the vicinity of the Al-Faluga area in Jabalia camp, resulting in many deaths and injuries.
The death toll from Israeli bombardments in the Gaza Strip has risen to over 10,569, including 4,324 children and 2,823 women, the health ministry in the embattled coastal enclave stated on Wednesday.
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian and human rights law as it exposes civilians’ lives to extreme danger, which requires an immediate international intervention.
The international community must force the Israeli occupation forces to abide by international human rights and humanitarian laws, mainly protecting the rights and lives of civilians, prohibiting their targeting and preserving their safety, and holding the Israeli leaders accountable for committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
