In a new serious violation of Palestinian human rights, Israeli undercover soldiers assassinated three Palestinian youths, including two brothers, inside Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin in the northern West Bank.
The victims were identified as Mohamed Jalamneh and the two brothers, Mohamed and Basel al-Gazzawi.
Basel was reportedly wounded and had been receiving treatment for months at the hospital since 25 October 2023.
Ten Israeli soldiers disguised as doctors and nurses stormed the hospital and shot dead the three young men with silencer-fitted guns inside a room on the third floor.
Since the right to life is a fundamental right protected by both international human rights law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, this horrifying incident clearly violates that right, making it a serious and blatant violation of human rights.
According to the Geneva Conventions, attacks inside of medical facilities are against international law. As such, a thorough and impartial investigation is necessary to guarantee that those responsible are held responsible and prosecuted.
Daily Israeli raids and arrests are carried out throughout West Bank cities and towns amid heavy fire of teargas bombs and live fire accompanied by violent settler attacks.
