In recent days, Israeli forces have intensified their attacks on what has become the last sanctuary for displaced Palestinians in Rafah, close to the Egyptian border. These attacks mark a continuation of the genocidal policy against Palestinians, persisting amidst international neglect and inaction.
The atrocities being committed strike innocent lives, inflicting unspeakable suffering on civilians, particularly the displaced seeking refuge for their families. Following over 130 days of relentless aggression across the Gaza Strip, these acts have led to the death and injury of approximately 100,000 Palestinians and the demolition of over 360,000 homes, along with medical and other essential facilities. The ongoing aerial and artillery bombardments utilise deadly weapons, wreaking havoc and resulting in the further loss of innocent lives, all while defying international laws and basic human rights.
Against this backdrop, Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) is organising a webinar addressing this escalating humanitarian disaster. The event will explore potential actions to mitigate the catastrophe and strategies to prevent further escalation of the crisis, aiming to avert the mass violence anticipated by the occupation authorities from the outset.
