Israeli occupation forces perpetrated a brutal massacre yesterday, Saturday, in Nuseirat Camp, situated in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in 210 fatalities and 400 injuries.
The Gaza Government Information Office reported that the victims were transported to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat and Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, both located in central Gaza.
For over two hours, the Israeli occupation army’s artillery and warplanes conducted intense and violent strikes on central, western, and eastern parts of Nuseirat Camp.
Black smoke plumes rose throughout the camp due to the unprecedented aerial and artillery bombardment.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli military vehicles unexpectedly infiltrated areas in the eastern and northwestern parts of Nuseirat Camp, coinciding with the intense artillery shelling that targeted extensive areas of the camp.
Subsequently, the military vehicles retreated under heavy cover of smoke bombs in the western and eastern parts of Nuseirat.
Israeli drones were heavily present over Nuseirat Camp, firing at anyone moving in the streets, resulting in a significant number of casualties.
Eyewitnesses described dozens of injured individuals and body parts scattered along the main road of Nuseirat Camp’s market following the intense Israeli air and artillery bombardment.
The witnesses also observed a mass exodus of hundreds of Palestinians from various areas within Nuseirat Camp towards Deir Al-Balah.
Since October 7th, the Israeli occupation army has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, resulting in catastrophic humanitarian and health conditions due to continuous bombardment and the blockade of food, water, medicine, and electricity supplies.
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, posing severe risks to civilians and their properties, and causing immense suffering. This situation necessitates urgent and decisive intervention from the international community to halt the aggression and protect civilians in the Gaza Strip.
This aggression compels international institutions to enforce Israeli occupation forces’ compliance with international laws and treaties related to human rights and international humanitarian law. They must ensure the protection of civilian rights and lives, prohibit their targeting, safeguard their safety, and hold the leaders responsible for committing war crimes in Gaza and elsewhere accountable.
