The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported on Tuesday that all of its medical points and emergency clinics in Gaza City were out of service, due to Israeli occupation warnings to evacuate dozens of areas.
The association announced in a brief statement, “All PRCS medical points and emergency clinics in #Gaza Governorate are out of service due to the Israeli occupation’s forcible evacuation measures in various areas of the governorate where these medical points and clinics are located.”
Earlier Tuesday; The administration of the Baptist Hospital said in a statement that the Israeli occupation forces “forced us to close the hospital after its surroundings came under heavy fire from Israeli drones,” adding that “the displaced and all patients were forced to leave the hospital, which exposes them to grave danger.”
Over the past two days; The IOF carried out a series of violent air and artillery raids on the vicinity of the Baptist Hospital, making it impossible for the wounded and sick to reach it.
Since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, The IOF deliberately targeted the health system and put most hospitals out of service, putting the lives of the sick and wounded at risk, according to Palestinian and UN data.
Gaza City is suffering from a very difficult health situation, as all operating hospitals were out of service, especially Al-Shifa Medical Complex, in early April, after being subjected to IOF operation that lasted two weeks, leaving massive destruction and a very large number of corpses.
On Sunday, the IOF forced thousands of Palestinians to evacuate their homes in the Old City and the Al-Tuffah and Al-Daraj neighborhoods east of Gaza City and head towards the western regions, under the threat of bombing and after warning them to evacuate, in preparation for carrying out a military aggression there.
However, the Palestinians in Gaza were surprised at dawn on Monday with a ground operation in the western regions, forcing them to flee to other places.
Since last October 7; The Israeli occupation forces have been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, leaving tens of thousands dead and wounded, enormous humanitarian conditions, and a major health and environmental catastrophe, as a result of the destruction of vital facilities and the overflow of sewage in large areas.
The occupation had also cut off all supplies of electricity, water, fuel and food to the residents of the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war, bombed bakeries, factories, stores, water stations and tanks, and destroyed the infrastructure.
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, as it exposes the lives and property of civilians to extreme danger and causes them great suffering, which requires urgent and decisive intervention from the international community to stop the aggression and protect civilians in the Gaza Strip.
