The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) began a large-scale aggression on Jenin, Tubas and Tulkarm in the northern West Bank at dawn on Wednesday, which resulted in the killing of 10 Palestinians and the injury of others.
IOF bombed a vehicle between the villages of Sa’ir and Al-Masliya south of Jenin, killing 4 Palestinians including Saeed Al-Wahdan, Muhammad Abu Zamiro, Ahmad Al-Sous, and Ahmad Yaqoub.
This bombing was preceded by an IOF raid on Jenin, after the Palestinians discovered that special forces had infiltrated the camp. IOF then began sending military reinforcements towards the city and the camp, amidst the flying of occupation aircraft and the deployment of snipers on high buildings.
IOF opened direct fire on the citizens, killing Qassam Muhammad Jabarin, 25, and Asem Walid Balout, 39, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
In Tubas four Palestinians were killed and others were injured by an Israeli drone strike on Al-Far’a camp, south of Tubas.
Red Crescent sources also reported that their crews faced difficulty in reaching the injured due to the camp being besieged and the occupation forces preventing ambulances from reaching them and obstructing their crews’ work.
The occupation forces stormed the camp at midnight with a large number of infantry soldiers, followed by military reinforcements to the camp from the Al-Hamra military checkpoint, accompanied by a bulldozer.
The occupation forces also deployed snipers inside and around the camp and imposed a siege on the camp. At the same time, the camp’s skies witnessed intensive drone flights.
IOF began storming Al-Far’a by landing soldiers from a helicopter and sending military vehicles.
Today at dawn, IOF announced the start of a “military operation” in Jenin, Tulkarm and Tubas in the northern West Bank.
With the killing of the ten Palestinians today, the number of victims in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023 has risen to about 661 dead, and more than 5,400 wounded, including women and children.
The war of genocide waged by the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, as it exposes the lives and property of civilians to grave danger, and causes them great suffering.
