The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) bombed a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip 5 times in 11 months.
During a press conference, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric confirmed that the UNRWA-run “Al-Jaouni” school was struck by an Israeli airstrike on Wednesday.
Dujarric pointed out that an Israeli airstrike had previously bombed the UNRWA school, that was sheltering displaced families in Nuseirat, for the fifth time in the past 11 months.
He further said that reports revealed that a number of UNRWA employees were killed in the attack.
Dujarric stated that they had contacted the Israeli army regarding the attack, but they did not provide them with any clarification statement.
Earlier Wednesday; 18 Palestinians, including UNRWA employees, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the UNRWA-run Al-Jaouni School.
According to the Civil Defense Society in Gaza, this is the fifth Israeli airstrike on the same school since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza.
Over the past months, the IOF targeted several schools housing displaced persons, committing heinous massacres against women and children.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has continued to wage a war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, which has led to a catastrophic deterioration of the humanitarian and health conditions.
