In a new massacre as part of its series of massacres against Palestinian civilians, the Israeli occupation forces bombed a residential building in the Beit Lahia project in northern Gaza this Sunday morning, resulting in the death of more than 50 people, most of them children, and injuring dozens with varying degrees of injuries.
Local sources and eyewitnesses reported that the targeted building housed displaced families, mostly women, children, and the elderly, with an estimated population of around 70 people.
Rescue operations are still hindered due to the ongoing attacks, while rescue teams lack the necessary equipment and medical supplies due to the strict restrictions imposed on the region.
In the same context, other homes in Beit Lahia that housed displaced families were targeted, resulting in more casualties, including 15 dead in one house and two others killed in another house.
For the 44th consecutive day, the Israeli army continues its campaign of extermination and starvation in northern Gaza, especially in the town of Jabalia and its camp, imposing a suffocating blockade and starvation, under continuous bloody bombardment and destruction of homes over the heads of its inhabitants.
On the other hand, a number of Palestinian citizens were killed and others injured in the Israeli warplanes’ bombardment of homes in the Bureij and Nuseirat camps in central Gaza.
Medical sources reported the killing of six citizens in a preliminary toll and the injury of others in the Israeli bombardment of the Egyptian family’s home, with still some missing under the rubble.
The same sources added that four people were killed and others injured in the Israeli bombardment of the Ramana family’s home in Camp 2 in Nuseirat.
Since October 7th, the Israeli occupation army has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, resulting in tens of thousands of dead and wounded, immense humanitarian conditions, and causing a major health and environmental disaster due to the destruction of vital facilities and the sewage overflow in wide areas.
The international community is obligated to take immediate and decisive action to stop the genocide and compel the Israeli occupation to comply with the decisions of the International Court of Justice, the United Nations, and the Security Council. Countries and international institutions must take serious steps to protect civilians, ensure the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, implement international resolutions calling for an end to the blockade and aggression, and put an end to these heinous crimes.
