The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continue to carry out genocide operations, the most heinous crime against humanity, against Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health; the IOF committed more than 7160 massacres against entire families since October 7, 2023, thus claiming the lives of thousands of Palestinians, in a clear violation to all international norms and laws.
The ministry documented the complete extermination of 1410 Palestinian families, bringing the number of victims erased from the civil registry to about 5444 people.
The ministry also stated that there are 3463 other families that were subjected to horrific massacres, of which only one person survived, totalling of 7934 victims.
2287 families were partially targeted with more than one survivor, totalling of 9577 Palestinians.
The Israeli killing machine deliberately focused on erasing the Palestinian identity. Al-Najjar family was the most affected with the loss of 520 individuals, followed by Al-Masri family with 287 victims, then the Ashour family with 217 victims, in addition to the Hijazi and Awad families who lost 199 and 198 individuals respectively.
The Israeli bombing, which mainly targets inhabited homes, continue to cause dozens of deaths and injuries daily, amidst deliberate disregard for international resolutions calling for an immediate ceasefire, in light of clear American support for these crimes.
A call for justice and accountability
The ongoing crimes in Gaza represent a flagrant violation of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, which prohibits targeting national or ethnic groups with the intent to destroy them in whole or in part. In addition, the indiscriminate raids on areas densely populated with civilians constitute a serious violation of the Geneva Conventions, which impose special protection for civilians in times of armed conflict.
Despite this, the Israeli occupation continues to escalate its aggression, ignoring the UN Security Council resolutions and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to protect the population and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Strip is suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, as the tight siege and famine have led to the deaths of dozens of children and elderly people, while hospitals are unable to deal with the amount of the wounded people.
This is not a war or a conflict, but a systematic genocide aimed at uprooting the Palestinian people from their land and obliterating their existence. These crimes require urgent action from the international community by taking actual measures, including imposing strict sanctions on the Israeli occupation and referring those responsible for these massacres to international courts.
The international community is under a real test, where it either moves to save the lives of innocent civilians and stop this genocide, or stands by watching as history writes another chapter of helplessness and failure.
