The Israeli occupation continues its military aggression against Syria, exploiting the political and military weakness resulting from the overthrow of the Bashar al-Assad regime by the Syrian armed opposition.

In the past few days, the Israeli occupation has carried out a series of intensive airstrikes on military sites in Syria, with the latest targeting 35 military facilities near the capital, Damascus.
The airstrikes targeted facilities containing missile and ammunition depots previously used by regime forces, indicating Israel’s clear desire to completely destroy Syria’s military infrastructure.
In a new development, Israeli forces have seized three villages in southern Syria: “Jumla” in Daraa province, “Mazraat Beit Jinn,” and “Mughir Al-Meer” in the countryside of Damascus, continuing the military occupation policy it has pursued for decades.
Israeli forces had previously occupied the strategic Mount Hermon and five Syrian towns near the border, in a move unprecedented since 1974, revealing hidden intentions to expand the occupation’s control over Syrian territories and establish a new reality serving its expansionist goals.
The continuation of Israeli occupation in these expansionist and aggressive policies necessitates a strong legal and international stance, through taking decisive steps to deter these policies that threaten regional security and exacerbate the suffering of the Syrian people who are still struggling to overcome their ongoing crises.
