As the Israeli occupation continues committing war crimes in Gaza, amounting to genocide against civilians, its air raids have now extended to the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, leaving behind killed and wounded civilians. This escalation reflects an expansion of the aggression across the region, in total disregard for the rules of international humanitarian law.
According to local Yemeni sources, two people were killed and five others injured on Sunday evening in an airstrike that targeted a fuel station belonging to the Oil Company on Sixty Street in central Sanaa, as well as the Haziz power station south of the capital.
The city witnessed violent explosions that shook residential neighborhoods, spreading panic and fear among civilians.
This attack adds to a long record of violations committed by the Israeli occupation, whether in Palestine or beyond, carrying out policies of collective punishment through killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement.
The continued expansion of Israeli occupation’s aggression, both internally and externally, reflects a systematic policy that disregards international law and global judicial rulings calling for a halt to its crimes. Civilians across the Arab world remain the weakest link, paying a high price in blood and suffering.
It is worth noting that what has been taking place in Gaza since October 7, 2023, represents one of the clearest examples of genocide: more than 62,000 Palestinians have been killed, over 157,000 wounded, most of them women and children. Thousands more remain missing under the rubble, while hundreds have died from hunger due to the deliberate and enforced blockade.
