In yet another bloody scene added to the ongoing record of genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, 22 civilians were killed and dozens injured within hours today, Saturday, as a result of the occupation’s bombardment of various areas across the Strip, most intensely in Gaza City and its outskirts.
Local sources reported that occupation forces opened fire directly at gatherings of civilians waiting for humanitarian aid south of Wadi Gaza, killing five people and injuring others with varying degrees of wounds.
Civil defence crews also recovered the bodies of three civilians after the occupation targeted a house in Nuseirat refugee camp at dawn today, in yet another crime against innocent people in their homes.
In the same context, medical sources confirmed that al-Shifa Hospital received eight of the dead, while seven others were taken to al-Awda Hospital, five to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, in addition to two victims received at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.
These crimes come in the context of a full-scale war waged by the occupation with American support since 7 October 2023, characterised by systematic killing, starvation, large-scale destruction and forced displacement, in blatant disregard of international appeals and the International Court of Justice’s orders to halt the genocide.
According to the latest documented figures, this war has left more than 63,025 dead and 159,490 injured, the majority of them children and women, in addition to over 9,000 missing. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of displaced people live in catastrophic conditions amid a famine that has claimed the lives of 322 people, including 121 children.
These figures clearly reflect the nature of the crime being committed in Gaza, where military force is being used to destroy an entire society and subjugate its population through a combined policy of killing, siege and starvation—making what is taking place the clearest manifestation of genocide in modern times, amid international silence.
