While distant countries refuse to receive these ships, Arab countries receive them
Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) denounced the fact that while distant countries refuse to receive ships loaded with ammunition to the occupying state, some Arab countries allow these ships to dock in their ports to unload and reship the ammunitions safely to the occupying state to be used against the Palestinians in the war of extermination in the Gaza Strip.
AOHR UK pointed out that the scandals of the German ship “Katherine” and allowing an Israeli warship to pass through the Suez Canal exposed the Egyptian regime’s public and secret relations with the occupying state during its war of extermination on the Gaza Strip. The two incidents revealed deep and solid relations at all levels between Egypt and the Israeli occupation, and exposed the flimsy claims of the Egyptian regime on exerting pressure on the occupation to stop the aggression, which in reality is nothing but a public relations campaign to contain popular anger of the Egyptian and Arab streets.
AOHR UK emphasised that it is disgraceful for some Arab countries to allow the passage of live ammunitions to the Israeli occupation, in violation of international resolutions, while distant countries like Malta and Spain do not allow it and act in compliance with the decisions of the International Court of Justice and the United Nations resolutions, which called for a ban on the export of weapons to the occupying state, since allowing weapons in any way to the occupying state is an actual participation in the war of extermination waged against the Gaza Strip.
AOHR UK pointed out that the amount of condemnation and criticism of the Egyptian regime over the scandal of the “Katherine” ship, did not deter the Moroccan regime, which on Friday 08/11/2024 allowed the “Maersk Denver” ship, full of ammunition for the occupying state, to dock in its ports after Spain refused to allow it to dock in its ports.
AOHR UK stressed that the competent authorities in Morocco are very well aware of the contents of the ship, and they are also aware that it belongs to a naval fleet involved in transporting weapons and ammunition to the occupying state since the beginning of the war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, for which reason the Spanish authorities refused to allow its docking in compliance with the decisions of the United Nations and the International Court of Justice.
AOHR UK pointed out that like the Egyptian regime, the Moroccan regime’s relations with the occupying state have not changed at all despite the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The Moroccan authorities attempt to contain the popular anger by announcing diplomatic movements calling for a ceasefire and preventing the supply of weapons to the occupying state, similar to announcing the signing of a letter by 52 Arab and Islamic countries addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, including Morocco and Egypt, calling to prevent arming the occupying state, however these announced positions are nothing like reality.
AOHR UK expressed its surprise how these countries are keen on appearing in the media to condemn Israel’s crimes and call for a ceasefire and to stop arming Israel, while their actions contradict their announced positions, which was clearly evident in the only genocide lawsuit filed by South Africa against Israel, in which no Arab or Islamic country joined except Turkey and Libya, while Ireland and Belgium announced their intention to join the lawsuit recently, along with Nicaragua, Colombia, Bolivia, Maldives, Spain, Chile, and Palestine.
AOHR UK called on the League of the Arab States (LAS) and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIS) to take a stance against these countries which are deceiving their peoples and do not adhere to the decisions of the LAS and the OIC, nor does it even adhere to its declared positions by criminalising normalisation with Israel as a start.
AOHR UK also called on the Moroccan regime to confiscate the arms shipment to Israel in compliance with international resolutions and the demands of the Moroccan people and the Arab peoples calling for severing all relations with the occupying state.
