In light of the brutal attack on the Palestinian people under the compliance of the USA, UK and France, permanent members of the UN Security Council; Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) called for a United Nations General Assembly to hold a session under the “United for Peace” resolution to overcome the dilemma of using Veto in the Security Council by these countries.
The international community’s compliance to the position of the US and other allies of Israel threatens international peace and security, especially since the support of these countries has increased the brutality of Israel, and threatens in spreading violence in the region.
The statements of Biden, British and European leaders, and their unconditional support for Israel stains their hands with the blood of the victims and makes them partners in the crimes being committed.
In his last speech, Biden did not mention any civilian victims in the Gaza Strip, as they are of no concern to him at all, on the contrary, he encourages Israel to kill more Palestinians to regain its power, dominance and control in the region.
The international community should not stand by and watch the killing of the Palestinians with American, British, and European weapons and internationally banned weapons such as white phosphorus, without taking action. Every second that passes, innocent lives are lost due to the indiscriminate bombing of the most crowded area in the world.
The death toll of the Israeli bombing of various areas in the Gaza Strip is 1055 Palestinians, more than 60% of whom are women and children. At least 8 journalists were killed, more than 5128 people were injured, and more than 260,000 citizens of the Gaza Strip have been displaced.
The Israeli Defence Minister explicitly stated that he was dealing with “animals,” and decided to cut off water and electricity, and prevent the entry of medical and food supplies, which confirms the Israeli tendency to commit more massacres amounting to the crime of genocide.
AOHR UK stressed the need to curb the crimes of Israel by taking practical steps by the United Nations General Assembly and under Chapter Seven to provide protection for the Palestinian people, as the fate of innocent people cannot be decided by a group that has been committing the most horrific crimes over decades.
The expansion of violence in the occupied territories today began when the US, UK, and all of Israel’s supporters refused to seriously intervene to put an end to the killing of children and women, the attacks on holy sites, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque, the expansion of settlements, and settlers’ violence.
The international humanitarian community must put pressure on Israel’s allies to stop their security and military support, stop the unjust war Israel is waging against the Palestinians, and enable the entry of all medical and food supplies to the Gaza Strip to prevent the humanitarian disaster caused by the Israeli bombing and siege.
