Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) says that the Israeli occupation has intensified its daily crimes against the Palestinian people amid total international silence and inaction.
AOHR UK points out that the Israeli occupation continue its collective punishment policy, house demolitions, extrajudicial executions, land confiscation, settlements construction, and attacks on holy sites, without any international intervention.
AOHR UK charges the international community of failing to take a firm position against the Israeli escalated settlement construction policy, although it constitutes a breach of international law.
Last week, Israel’s Supreme Court has rejected a petition against the eviction of more than 4,000 Palestinian inhabitants of a rural part of the occupied West Bank, in an area Israel has designated a zone for military exercises, paving the way for the demolition of 12 small villages in Masafer Yatta, a rocky, arid area near Hebron. AOHR UK added that the Israeli move comes ahead of the construction of 4,000 housing units.
Nearly 750,000 Israeli settlers live in at least 250 illegal settlements in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem in violation of international law.
AOHR UK views that the only way to end the Palestinian people’s suffering is to put an end to the Israeli occupation and to bring those responsible for crimes against Palestinians to justice.
