The death toll of Palestinians killed by the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip continues to rise since October 7, 2023.
On Thursday, January 30, 2025, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll has reached 47,460, most of whom are children and women, in addition to 111,580 injured, while thousands of victims are still under the rubble.
Over the past 24 hours, 42 dead were pulled from under the rubble, while another died of his injuries, and 9 new injuries arrived at hospitals.
The rescue teams are facing huge difficulties in retrieving the bodies from under the rubble due to the Israeli siege and repeated shelling, which further exacerbates the humanitarian tragedy.
More than 60% of health facilities in Gaza are out of service, while the remaining hospitals suffer from a severe shortage of medicines and medical equipment, threatening the lives of thousands of wounded and sick people, according to national reports.
The people of Gaza are suffering from catastrophic humanitarian conditions, with more than two million people living under a tight siege that has led to severe shortages of food, water and medicine, while tens of thousands have been killed and injured.
The crisis has worsened with the occupation’s deliberate targeting of power stations and vital facilities, leading to an almost complete paralysis of daily life, amid warnings of a complete collapse of basic services.
The response of the international community has been nothing but condemnations without any practical steps to stop the ongoing crimes, which raises questions about the double standards in the application of international law and the absence of justice for Palestinian victims.
