As Israel’s genocide in the Gaza Strip entered its 24th day on Monday, the death toll climbed to over 8306 victims and the number of injured to over 21048 people, according to latest reports.
According to the ministry of health in Gaza, 3457 children, 2,132 women, while hundreds more are still under rubble.
The Israeli forces also committed 908 massacres in Gaza.
The health ministry confirmed in a press conference on Monday that the number of hospitals went out of service due to lack of fuel and bombardment reached 25 hospitals and that occupation forces targeted 25 ambulances.
The ministry also underlined that the occupation forces are increasing their threats to hospitals targeting 100,000 of medical workers, patients and refugees.
The “Palestinian Health” has demanded that Egypt take immediate action to open the Rafah crossing to ensure the flow of medical aid, the entry of fuel, and the evacuation of patients and the wounded. It also called on all parties to take immediate action to urgently intervene to rescue the collapsing healthcare system.
It pointed out that the Israeli occupation deliberately keeps the healthcare system in a state of complete collapse due to its stubbornness in providing fuel and urgent medical supplies.
It warned of a health catastrophe as a result of hospitals turning into overcrowded centers where tens of thousands of displaced people live in unhealthy conditions, leading to the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases. The Public Health teams have reported thousands of cases of skin diseases, infectious diseases, influenza, cholera, and diarrhea.
The Ministry stated that continuing the policy of delaying the entry of medical aid does not help the healthcare system and leads to more casualties, emphasizing that the failure to immediately provide fuel to all hospitals threatens the lives of thousands of the wounded and patients who require life-saving services.
The “Palestinian Health” called on all parties to take urgent and effective measures to save the collapsing healthcare system and restore its functions in treating thousands of patients and the injured.
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, endangering the lives and properties of civilians, causing them severe suffering, which requires urgent and decisive intervention by the international community to stop the aggression and protect civilians in the region.
This aggression obligates the institutions of the international community to compel the Israeli occupying forces to comply with international laws and treaties related to human rights and international humanitarian law. They must be obliged to protect the rights of civilians, their lives, and their safety, and to punish those responsible for committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip and elsewhere.
