Dozens of Palestinians were injured and suffocated on tear gas of the IOF, as settlers stormed Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus, northern West Bank.
Ahmed Jibril, head of ambulance and emergency at the Palestinian Red Crescent in Nablus, stated that a young Palestinian man was injured with live bullets and transferred to Rafidia Hospital in Nablus for treatment. He also reported that “16 injuries with rubber bullets, five burning injuries, and two injuries resulted from falling.”
Jibril pointed out that 40 people suffocated on toxic tear gas, including 3 children and a baby, and were transferred to Rafidia Hospital for treatment, adding that a family was evacuated due to suffocation on tear gas.
The Jewish settlers stormed the Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus as they believe it belongs to the Prophet Joseph and that they have a Jewish right to perform rituals there, while historical and scientific accounts deny the validity of this claim, since the tomb was built around 200 years ago, and it belongs to a Muslim man caller Youssef Dwikat who lived in the area.
