In parallel with its ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 72nd consecutive day, the Israeli occupation forces persist in their violations in cities and villages of the West Bank, resulting in casualties among Palestinian civilians.
In this context, the occupation army executed five Palestinians in the Nur Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarm and injured four others.
The Ministry of Health announced the killing of Jihad Hatem Amarna (23 years old), Walid Abdel-Razzaq Asaad Zahra (22 years old), Asaad Fathi Asaad Zahra (33 years old), Mahmoud Samer Jaber (22 years old), and Ghaith Yasser Shahada (25 years old) due to Israeli drone attacks on the camp and shooting at civilians. This occurred amidst arrests, infrastructure destruction, and the declaration of the camp as a closed military zone.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that the Israeli forces prevented ambulance and emergency crews from entering the Nur Shams camp to reach the injured. Two wounded individuals were also abducted from an ambulance.
Among the targeted houses in the drone attacks in Nur Shams camp were the house of Iyad Al-Mu’in and the house of the deceased Mahmoud Samer Jaber’s father. Israeli drones also targeted sites in Al-Manshiyya neighbourhood of Nur Shams camp.
Israeli forces raided several houses in the city of Tulkarm and Nur Shams camp east of the city. Intense explosions and gunfire were heard in various neighbourhoods, and Israeli snipers were deployed on the rooftops of tall buildings owned by Al-Batta and Al-Sa’aydeh families, as well as other families in the camp.
Israeli forces had previously raided Tulkarm late Saturday, from the west through Al Sikka and Al Mahakem streets, towards Nablus Street, reaching Tulkarm camp. Israeli forces deployed across the area stretching from the “Einav” settlement checkpoint to the east, passing through the town of Anabta towards the city.
Before withdrawing, the occupation forces imposed a strict siege on Nur Shams camp. They deployed their bulldozers and military vehicles on Nablus Street and the roundabout at the entrance of the Iktaba suburb towards the camp. They fired live ammunition intensively at civilians and bulldozed and destroyed several streets.
The death toll of Palestinians in the Tulkarm governorate since October 7th has risen to 51, and the number of deaths from the Israeli occupation’s bombings and gunfire in the West Bank has reached 296.
