The undersecretary of Gaza’s Ministry of Health, Yousef Abu al-Rish, called on the free world to put an end to Israel’s bombing of secure civilian areas.
The occupation massacred 400 families in the Gaza Strip prior to the Baptist Hospital massacre, according to Abu al-Rish. “We are facing a great injustice.”
He stated that Israel fired two artillery shells at Al-Ahli Hospital as a prelude to bombing it. The initial shelling took place on October 14, followed by a call from the Israeli army requesting the hospital’s evacuation.
According to Abu Al-Rish, the hospital administration took immediate action after receiving the warning. They also communicated with the bishop of the Evangelical Church in Britain, who reached out to international organisations and conveyed assurances that the hospital would be able to continue operations.
“The occupation has an open appetite,” he continued. “The hospital was bombed, and it was followed by another bombing in the vicinity of the European Gaza Hospital. Hospitals are threatened by the occupation, but no deterrent measures are taken; instead, it is met with messages of support and reassurance.”
“I saw children whose heads cut off in a scene that has no parallel in our current era.”
More than 500 people were killed and 600 others injured in an Israeli direct attack on the Al-Ahli Arab National Hospital in Gaza, Palestinian health ministry said on Tuesday evening.
There are “hundreds of victims” under the rubble of a Gaza hospital compound that was hit by an Israeli air strike, said the health ministry.
The airstrike targeted thousands of displaced people who took refuge in the hospital’s courtyards after their houses were destroyed in the ongoing Israeli bombing.
Photos on social Media showed fire engulfing the hospital halls, shattered glass, and body parts scattered across the area.
