Israeli warplanes have continued to bomb various areas of the Gaza Strip for the 20th day in a row, claiming the lives of thousands of civilians, mostly women and children.
According to the Palestinian health ministry, 7,028 people were killed, including 2,913 children, 1,709 women, and 397 elderly people, while 18,484 more were injured. More victims are still under the rubble.
The Israeli occupation committed 43 massacres in the past hours, claiming the lives of 481 civilians, the majority of whom were displaced families to the southern Gaza Strip, the ministry said.
The health ministry pointed out that 731 massacres were carried out against Palestinian families, claiming the lives of 5,224 civilians since October 7, many of whom are still under the rubble.
According to the medical authorities, 1,650 people are still missing under the rubble, including 940 children, while 101 health personnel were killed in the Israeli attacks and 25 ambulances were damaged.
The health ministry further noted that the Israeli warplanes deliberately targeted 57 health institutions and put 12 hospitals and 32 primary care centers out of service.
Hospitals turned into large shelter centers, housing tens of thousands of displaced people, it added.
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian and human rights law as it exposes civilians’ lives to extreme danger, which requires an immediate international intervention.
The international community must force the Israeli occupation forces to abide by international human rights and humanitarian laws, mainly protecting the rights and lives of civilians, prohibiting their targeting and preserving their safety, and holding the Israeli leaders accountable for committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
