The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip on Monday released detailed lists of 60,199 Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces since the start of the assault on 7 October 2023, up to 31 July 2025.
This announcement comes amid a disturbing silence from the international community, as the Israeli occupation wages a full-scale war against more than two million besieged civilians in Gaza, subjecting them to nearly a year of systematic killing, starvation, displacement, and destruction, in blatant violation of international conventions designed to protect civilians.
Four separate lists were published on the ministry’s Telegram channel, including the full names of all those killed, children, women, and the elderly, along with comprehensive details such as age, national ID number, and date of birth.
In its statement, the ministry affirmed: “As part of our commitment to transparency and to honour the sacrifices of our people, the Ministry of Health announces the release of updated lists of victims killed as a result of the ongoing aggression, up to 31 July 2025.”
The data revealed that among the victims were 18,430 children, accounting for nearly 31% of the total, and 9,735 women, making up 16.1%. The death toll also included 4,429 elderly victims, representing 7.3%.
According to the ministry’s latest update, the total number of Palestinians killed has since risen to 60,839, with more than 149,588 injured and over 9,000 missing whose fates remain unknown.
What is unfolding in Gaza is not merely a military assault but a fully-fledged genocide, where civilians are targeted simply because of their identity, their family name deemed justification enough for bombing, and their hunger turned into a death sentence rather than a call for aid.
The widespread and deliberate targeting of children, women, and defenceless civilians cannot be dismissed as “acts of war.” The sheer statistics expose a calculated criminal intent and a decision to pursue collective annihilation, obliterating markets, shelters, hospitals, and homes alike.
Gaza has been turned into a testing ground for the limits of warfare, shielded by political cover and global inaction that enable total impunity.
As mass graves fill and families dig through rubble searching for their loved ones, these atrocities are being documented in real time. For months, legal institutions and eyewitnesses have submitted testimonies to international rights platforms, yet justice remains elusive.
Publishing these lists is not merely a record, it is irrefutable evidence of one of the most heinous crimes of our time, a reminder that Palestinians, even in death, will not be reduced to mere numbers erased from memory.
